The jolly old elf will fly in to Andy Barnhart Memorial Airport at 9:30 am and have a few minutes to visit with the good girls and boys before heading out to participate in the 31st annual Main Street Holiday Parade. The parade will begin at 10:00 am at the United Methodist church on Main Street. From there, it will head to Lake Ave. and proceed to the firehouse on Church St. where Santa will have a festive treat for every boy and girl who visits with him.

All children are invited to dress in holiday or storybook costumes and march in the parade as well. Children who dress up and participate in the parade will be eligible to win one of three gift cards. Costume judging will take place at the firehouse as well.

The parade will include floats, free toothbrushes, lots of candy (make sure to grab a toothbrush!) and Tecumseh High School’s own Marching Arrows who have prepared a special Charlie Brown Christmas performance. Following the parade, the band will give a short concert at the firehouse as well.

In addition to the concert and visiting with Santa following the parade, kiddos both young and old will be able to visit with Elsa, Anna, and Olaf and see Pikachu, Grimm from Mother Goose and Grimm, Sparky the Fire Dog, Marshall the Fire Dog, Chick-E-Lee from Lee’s Famous Recipe, and New Carlisle’s own traditional Giant Holiday Bunny.

There will be cookies and punch served at the firehouse following the parade, and stores will offer special items and refreshments at the local Merchant Holiday Open House from 10am to 5pm.

A tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6:30pm.

In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled but all other activities will be held at the firehouse, so even if Rudolph can’t make it out, you can.
